Ons Dorp Care Centre Notice – Covid-19 Visitors Update
Ons Dorp Village was established in 1983 by Dutch people who immigrated to New Zealand from the Netherlands, whose primary objective was to meet the retirement and the cultural needs of Dutch senior citizens. Today we now welcome residents from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
"The inclusive culture of the Netherlands is diverse, reflecting regional differences as well as the foreign influences built up by centuries of the Dutch people's mercantile and explorative spirit. The Netherlands and its people have long played an important role as a center of cultural liberalism and tolerance". (Source: Wikipedia 2019)
The unique influence of Dutch culture, values and what Ons Dorp offers to its residents to create a distinctive village environment can be summarised as follows:
We offer a friendly and welcoming living environment in a quiet beautiful tree lined garden setting with a unique architecture and building design that reflects Dutch culture and values.
